FA Solutions team is welcoming Alex, Emina and Saara

“Hello folks, I’m Alex and I recently joined FA’s Product team as a software developer in Helsinki.
Having originally moved to Finland for studying, I’ve been living here for over 4 years by now and I graduated from Haaga-Helia last December. Before coming to FA I have worked at F-Secure for a couple of years in a similar role, as a backend software engineer, using mostly Java and Python for writing application code and automation. Here at FA I will have an opportunity to work with different technologies and become more full-stack and hopefully use my previous experience to help enhancing and perfecting FA platform.
I’m one of those stereotypical geeky IT guys who loves videogames, TV shows and everything about the technologies, but at the same time I consider myself an adventurer: I am passionate about travelling, hiking, unusual sports and recreations. Also I’m very much into arts and I enjoy drawing, digital art, photography, reading, listening to and playing music, and going to gigs and theatres.
I hope that working at FA will allow me to meet awesome people and create wonderful memories!”

“Hello, I’m Emina but people normally call me Emina. I was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and I moved to Helsinki when I was 21, on a 2-week notice, to work on an international project. Little did I know that I’ll get to call Finland my home for much much longer than 1 year.
I gained my formal education in International and Public Relations, but thanks to my love for writing and languages, I have embarked on a marketing journey quite early, working and leading marketing and design projects in in-house and consultancy roles for big Finnish and international companies.
When I’m not working, I usually write, and I have just released my poetry book in spring 2020. Besides that, I enjoy nature, sauna evenings, camping, travelling, good books and movies, and taking one fluffy 3-legged cat on picnics. Oh, and learning languages- I have a goal to speak 8 by 2022.
I’m super happy to have joined FA Solutions and marketing team, even though it happened in the midst of a pandemic. Even after only a few days at the company, I can see its culture shine through- people are amazing- resourceful, structured and reliable, but also very fun and helpful, I felt at home immediately! I’m really hoping to contribute to my team and FA with my skills and experience, and help push the bar higher.”

“Hi there! I’m Saara, and I’m originally from a small town in Northern Savonia area in Finland. My home town is famous for its strawberry farming, and I have also started my ‘career’ from a strawberry field as a teenager, first picking strawberries and then ‘moving up’ to sell them on market places. So I could say that I got my first and actually very important experience of sales, marketing and customer interaction during those years in the strawberry business!
After high school, I moved to study in a town called Jyväskylä in Central Finland, where I gained a B.B.A. degree specialised in international business and marketing and later on an M.A. degree in communication. I did my student exchange in Brussels, Belgium, after which I moved to Helsinki for more career opportunities. I have previously worked in marketing and communication in the field of technology and also in the fintech sector. Here at FA Solutions, I will be working as a product marketing specialist enhancing our product related materials and participating in some general marketing and communication tasks, too.
I am quite a lively personality and a people person who loves good conversations, preferably accompanied with delicious food and good drinks. I enjoy culture in all its forms: music, concerts, theatre, museums, films & series, books… I also enjoy sports like bouldering, dancing, snowboarding or surfing, but during recent years my absolute favourite has been beach volley. I found it as an adult, having played volley ball in my youth. Also, who wouldn’t love travelling!
I am very happy and excited to be on board in this awesome international team providing a top notch wealth management solution, and I’m also eager to meet our customers and partners!”
