We hosted a breakfast seminar in our Helsinki office on Thursday the 15th of October. The agenda of the morning was tied around how to efficiently handle fund management in the complex regulatory environment. We started off with breakfast, networking and updating what’s happening in the industry in general.
The “official” part of the seminar begun with a quick introduction to FA Solutions as a company; our current situation as well as plans and objectives for the future. After that Arto Eskola, our senior consultant, started the demonstration part. First we went through how to calculate NAVs within couple of minutes in the FA platform. Arto showed also how to automatically create, download and send different kinds of reports and documents for both, clients’ and authorities’ needs. He also showed how bookkeeping can be managed from the FA platform easily just with a couple of clicks.
The last 20 minutes we discussed about the regulatory issues in Finland that needs to be fulfilled in the near future; what are the main snags and how to overcome them with FA. “The financial industry in general is going through big changes. Regulatory is not going to come to its end. Therefore software used in the industry needs to be agile to react and adapt into this continually changing environment. Considering this fact, the future of investment management is in the Software-as-a-Service technology. We’re the forerunner in this technology within the financial industry. We made the decision already eight years ago that SaaS is the future, and since then we have focused on being the best in that”, sums up Hannes Helenius, Chairman of the Board at FA Solutions.
